All rooms are en-suite with private terraces and a swimming pool nearby; there are three, each very different.
All luxury suites accommodate two persons, and if booking is convenient – at the same rate – we may offer you a second luxury room, for practicality insofar as detoxification and resting.
Each suite is decorated individually. There is the Mexican mood suite, an English classic, a minimalist contemporary signature and the Indian-style luxury suite has its own steam bath.
10 spa suites are available. All overlook the river frontage and from each the captivating sounds of the flowing river and its birdlife provides perfect tranquillity.
Throughout this detox lodge, and its various treatment rooms and public areas, we have assembled an art collection of renowned artists: French, Belgian, African – some classics, some recognised as Modern art masters – enjoy the visual journey.
Each room has TV with a DVD player or reader, to watch a comprehensive collection of movies always available for your convenience. Some suites have DSTV connection and there is a large study, with surround-sound for musical or sporting events on DVD or TV.
In case of power failure all rooms have battery lamp back-up and candles; the latter is particularly spectacular.
Wi-Fi is available around the lodge, and Vodacom users will connect automatically.
There is no restaurant at Alice Detox Lodge. With our help you will be responsible for dedicating your time to herbal cleansing through our detoxification diet. The staff are continually on-hand to serve teas, freshly ozonised and mineralised water, and juices.
Food-wise? None at all is the target, and yet there are liters of liquid, with enriched fibres, minerals and vitamins to ‘natural cleanse’ the digestive system. This encourages the inner energy of the body to work on healing, not merely digesting.
